DAVAO, Philippines – The Davao City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) has issued an advisory for all truck drivers to take alternate routes due to an ongoing street protest by followers of fugitive preacher Apollo Quiboloy against police operations inside the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound, on a section of the Carlos P. Garcia Highway.
The advisory affects trucks coming from both the northern and the southern parts of the city.
The following routes have been designated for trucks coming from the North:
- Bunawan: Truck drivers can take the Cabantian-Bunawan Road, then proceed to Mahayag, Acacia, Indangan, Buhangin-Cabantian Road, and Buhangin Milan.
- Tibungco: Truck drivers can take either Crossing Eliong Road or Mudiang Road, continue to Cabantian-Bunawan Road, Acacia, Indangan, Buhangin-Cabantian Road, and then to Buhangin Milan.
- Ilang: The designated route is via Indangan-Ilang Road, Malagamot Road, and Buhangin-Cabantian Road.
- Panacan: Trucks can use Malagamot Road or go through Communal/Country Homes to reach Buhangin-Cabantian Road and then proceed to Buhangin Milan.
For trucks coming from the South:
- Truck drivers can take Buhangin Milan, continue on Buhangin-Cabantian Road, and then proceed to Malagamot Road or Cabantian-Bunawan Road.
- Alternatively, truck drivers may use Carlos P. Garcia Highway, turn to Angliongto Road, and proceed through Sasa.
Drivers are advised to follow the designated routes to avoid congestion and ensure the smooth flow of traffic. – Rappler.com
