MANILA, Philippines – South Korean shooter Kim Ye-ji landed her first acting break after her swagger and charisma made her a star in the Paris Olympics.

Kim, who won silver in the women’s 10 meter air pistol event, reportedly will play an assassin in Crush, a spin-off of global film project Asia, alongside Indian actress Anushka Sen.

“So happy to collaborate with Kim Ye-ji, Olympic silver medalist, the most popular Korean shooting player in the world,” Sen wrote on Instagram.

Kim turned into an internet sensation overnight as her nonchalant style, which featured her wearing black-tinted glasses and her non-shooting hand tucked into her pocket, propelled her to stardom.

Her Olympic stint gained Kim millions of new fans, including Tesla Motors chief Elon Musk.

“She should be cast in an action movie. No acting required!” Musk wrote on X, replying to a video showing Kim competing in the ISSF Baku World Cup in Azerbaijan in May where she won gold.

Plenty of opportunities have come her way after the Olympics as Kim also became an endorser for fashion brands MLB Korea and Givenchy.
