MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. celebrated his birthday on Friday, September 13, with a piece of good news — a survey showing a double-digit increase in the satisfaction numbers of his administration in the second quarter of 2024.

The poll conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) in June said 62% of Filipinos were satisfied with the government’s performance, a 10-percentage-point increase from the 52% in March, while 22% of the 1,500 respondents were dissatisfied, a figure mostly unchanged from the previous 23%. The percentage of people undecided dropped from 23% to 15%.

This gives the Marcos administration a net satisfaction rating of +40 in June, classified by SWS as “good.” It is a significant improvement from the “moderate” +29 in March.
