MANILA, Philippines – YouTube on Thursday, December 5, shared the platform’s “top trending videos and creators in the Philippines.”
They provided three top 10 lists: one for specific videos that are short films, animation, creative, or non-music; one for music videos; and another for top creator channels.
Below’s the first list, with Filipino content creator Esnyr’s video called “Highschool Heartbreak Experience” at top 1, with 20 million views.
- HIGHSCHOOL HEARTBREAK EXPERIENCE
- BUDGET ULAM NG MGA PINOY

View count doesn’t seem to be the only metric that YouTube considered here, though, as the top 7 entry (10 million views), for instance, has fewer views than the top 8 entry (15 million views). The top 4 and 5 entries are the two videos with the actual highest views count on the list but they appear to be international channels that have views coming from all over the world.
For the top 10 music videos list, P-pop girl group BINI, which is Spotify’s top local group this year, also leads in the YouTube charts with two songs occupying spots 1 and 2. The top 6 entry (Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars – “Die With A Smile”) is the only non-OPM song to make the list.

“In the Philippines, YouTube isn’t just a global platform; it’s a vibrant reflection of Filipino culture. The fact that local creators like Esnyr are trending and OPM artists like BINI dominate the music videos list shows how deeply YouTube resonates with Filipinos,” said Mervin Wenke, head of communications and public affairs of Google Philippines.
He added: “It’s where they connect with what matters to them, discover new trends, and celebrate their passions. YouTube has truly become the new TV, a space where Filipinos come together to be entertained, informed, and inspired.” – Rappler.com
